Totem has released the first trailer of Un Certain Regard film Moneyboys, the Chinese language first feature from C.B. Yi.
Moneyboys follows Fei, who works illegally as a hustler in order to support his family. When he realizes they are willing to accept his money but not his way of life, there is a major breakdown in their relations.
“Moneyboys may deal with a very specific situation — the migration of a young man from rural China — but for me it is a universal story about interpersonal relationships that could happen in many places around the world,” Yi said in a statement to Variety.
