Disney has unveiled the trailer for Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third chapter in James Cameron’s Avatar series. The film is scheduled to debut on December 19, 2025, three years after the release of Avatar: The Way of Water (2022).
The trailer introduces two new tribes: the Wind Traders and the Ash People. Jake Sully and Neytiri have to deal with a new danger—the Ash People, a fierce and ambitious Na’vi tribe led by Varang. Jake’s family must fight for their survival and Pandora’s future, pushing themselves to their emotional and physical extremes.
The main cast returns with Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña reprising their roles as Jake Sully and Neytiri. They are joined by Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Jack Champion, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Bailey Bass, Joel David Moore, Edie Falco, and Dileep Rao. Oona Chaplin makes a notable addition as Varang, while David Thewlis and Michelle Yeoh make their franchise debuts.Originally conceived as a single film alongside The Way of Water, Cameron chose to split the story into two parts due to its complexity and scope.
